Join us every Sunday as we come together to worship and praise the Lord. Our services are designed to inspire, uplift, and challenge you to live out your faith in meaningful ways.
Whether you are new to the Christian faith or a seasoned believer, you will find a welcoming community that is committed to helping you grow in your spiritual journey.
Our worship services offer engaging music, meaningful messages, and welcoming environments for all ages, with secure kids’ programs, accessibility accommodations, and fellowship opportunities.
Our worship services last about one hour and feature high-energy music followed by a thoughtful, engaging message rooted in the Bible. Every service is ended with a time of reflection for communion. You can pick up communion elements on the tables at the back of the sanctuary each week. After communion, we offer a time for anyone to come forward to join the Northwood family, make a first-time commitment of faith, let us know you are interested in baptism, or recommitting your faith.
You’ll see a wide range of attire—from polos and dresses to t-shirts and jeans. We want you to come as you are, dressed comfortably to worship with us!
Yes! Nursery care is available for children two and under, and Kids Church—with age-appropriate teaching and activities—is offered for kids ages three through 5th grade during all worship services.

At Northwood Christian Church, our mission is clear: Love God. Love People. Make Disciples.
We are committed to putting God first through a deep, intentional relationship with Him. Inspired by the life of Jesus, we welcome everyone with grace and joy—meeting people where they are, loving them as they are, and walking alongside them as they grow in faith. Whether you’re exploring Christianity or have followed Christ for years, we invite you into a community that’s passionate about knowing God and making Him known.

Just three days later, Northwood held its first worship service at Page Elementary School with 42 members. By the following year, that number had more than doubled, and in 1964, our new building—still our current location—opened its doors.
God has faithfully grown and guided Northwood through the years. Under the leadership of early pastors like Frank Betzer and Gary Wells, and for 30 years now under Pastor Barry Lind, Northwood has remained rooted in its mission while reaching out to the surrounding community.

In just 90 days, our church raised over $1.2 million to purchase 8 acres of land in Marcola Meadows. Over the next five years, we prayed and worked tirelessly, trusting God every step, and have
For over 60 years, Northwood has been a place where people experience authentic worship, real relationships, and life-changing discipleship. We believe our story is still being written—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
